DECLINED PAYMENTS during Membership Sign Up

When you filled out your membership Registration Form and clicked the “Submit” button, an account with your username and password was automatically created for you – even if your payment attempts were all declined on the next Payment Page. With no completed payment, your account will be considered “INACTIVE” with no access to your membership pages. However, you can still log in through the Members Tab in the main menu to view your account details.
If you wish to come back to the website at a later time to complete your payment, PLEASE LOG IN with the username and password that you previously created. (You can reset your password if you forgot it – just click the “Forgot Password” button on the log in page.)
After logging in, the fields on the Registration Form will automatically refill with the information you provided earlier. If you don’t need to change anything, just click “Submit” and complete your payment.  If no payment is made within 30 days, your account will be closed.

PAGE DISPLAY & ZOOM

The chapter and quiz pages should be vertically stable, with no vertical wiggle or scrolling on the overall page. This is to make it easier to scroll on numerous elements within the page, including the PDF viewer and two audio players.  (Note: Most pages without PDF’s or audio players are scrollable like a typical web page.)

If your overall Chapter or Quiz page is not stable, try a small change in the zoom level:

—   For iPads using Firefox:  zoom at 90%

—   For iPads using Safari:  zoom at 100%

—   For Mac laptops using Firefox:  zoom at 110%

—   For Mac laptops using Safari:  zoom at 115%

—   For PC laptops using Chrome or Edge:  zoom at 90%

—   For PC desktops using Chrome or Edge:  zoom at 125%

To change the zoom on Mac keyboards, hold down the Command key while pressing either the plus (+) or minus (-) keys.  On PC keyboards, use Control / plus or minus.

For iPads with Safari, go to Settings / Safari / Page Zoom.  For iPads with Firefox, click the hamburger icon in the upper right corner and choose “Zoom” in the dropdown menu.

PROBLEMS with PDF FILES

The Written Exercises and PDF Quizzes on this website are fillable form PDFs.  To complete the forms, you must first download and save the PDFs to your computer.  After reopening them, you can fill in the answers and save your work. When you click on the download link provided directly above each PDF window, you may get one of the following results, depending on your device and browser settings –

—  The PDF may automatically download and save to your device and open fullscreen in a new viewer

—   The PDF may open fullscreen in a new viewer, but not actually download / save to your computer.  You may be able to fill in some answers at this point, but it is still recommended that you go through the procedure you normally use to download, save, and reopen files, then complete the form.

—   Instead of seeing the PDF appear in a new viewer, you may just get a popup window with saving options (choose filename, location, etc.) and a “Save” button.

AUDIO PROBLEMS

If the Custom “Song Examples” player provided in the paid version of Spinning Gold will not load or play, check and make sure you have logged in with your Spotify Premium account and not a free account.  As mentioned on the Membership Pricing pages, Spotify requires a Premium account to use the Ad-Free Custom player.  After logging in to Spotify, return to your Chapter or Quiz page on the Learn Pop Theory website and refresh the page.

Also make sure your browser is not blocking cookies and popups for the Learn Pop Theory website.

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

If you request cancellation of your membership any time within the first 10 days of opening your account, you will receive a complete refund for your payment. To request a cancellation, log in to the website, click the “My Account” tab, and click the link provided in the Profile section. If you are eligible for a refund, please allow 5-10 business days for the refund credit to be processed.

PROBLEMS RESETTING PASSWORD

When you click the “Forgot Password” button on the log in page and request a Password Reset link, Learn Pop Theory immediately sends an automatic reset email to the address associated with your account.  When you click the reset link in that email, you may get an “unauthorized” message.  If so, try copying and pasting the link in a new browser tab, then open the tab to get the correct page.
If this does not work or you do not receive the reset email at all, please contact us via the Submit form at the bottom of this Help page. Just include a brief message saying either “Help with reset link,” or “Did not receive reset email.” We will send a new email and link within 24 hours.

If you have any other questions or comments, you can use this form to contact us.  We look forward to hearing from you!
